“Now Playing” aims to make amazing professional performances available to our community at a discount, and to strengthen our relationships both inside and outside of the performing arts. We will offer a wide range of performances in dance, music, and theatre for families, teens and adults. Whether it is a family musical that gives you something to enjoy together and reflect upon afterwards, or a cutting-edge piece of theatre that gives teens a new perspective on what it means to be an artist, “Now Playing” will bring inspiration and excitement into our community.

DOT & ZIGGY

February, Seattle Children’s Theatre
Dot & Ziggy may be neighbors, but they aren’t yet friends. After all, what could a ladybug and a skunk possibly have in common? One likes up, one likes down. One flies, one runs. But neither of them knows how to share. With the help of a wise spider, and the encouragement of the audience, they just might find their way.

THE MOUSE TRAP

February, The Village Theatre 
Agatha Christie’s masterpiece and the longest running play in modern history, this murder mystery sparkles with suspense and cunning as it celebrates it’s 60-year anniversary. Stranded by a snowstorm within one guesthouse are the young couple who own the business, four single guests, one stranger who happened upon the house, and one detective. Eight inhabitants; one murderer; and one nameless target—but how many will get hit in the crossfire? Rich with excitement and mystery, you won’t be sorry you got caught in The Mousetrap.

There's trouble in River City, my friends, and Professor Harold Hill has the antidote -- an all-boys marching band. But Marian the Librarian sees through his schemes, at least until she falls in love with the irrepressible con artist. Overflowing with a parade of tunes including "Seventy Six Trombones," "Gary, Indiana," and "Til There Was You."

ADVENTURES WITH SPOT

Spot is an imaginative and enthusiastic puppy who delights in the simplest of things, from playing hide-and-seek to receiving mail. Based on Eric Hill’s popular picture books, Spot and his friends show kindness and character through their adventures. Young children will identify with Spot’s love of his family and his desire for comfort, and he just may encourage the rest of us to take a fresh look at life.
