for children entering kindergarten

Camp Katan provides first-timers with the full SJCC Summer Camp experience, introducing them to all the different activites the SJCC Summer Camp has to offer.
Campers will explore art, drama, science, nature, sports, music, storytelling, and daily ruach (spirit). Each three-week session will have the following key components: a theme, weekly field trips, special events, and daily swimming. Past field trips included the Seattle Children's Museum, the Cougar Mountain Zoo, local parks, exploring low tide, Pump It Up, and Remlinger Farms.
Typical Daily Schedule
A typical day at Camp Katan includes creative Jewish programming, arts and crafts, exploring the SJCC Kesher Community Garden, science, nature education, sports, games, stories, Israeli activities, and quiet time to give campers a chance to relax with friends. We arrange the schedule so Katan campers will have the chance to explore areas of interest in a nurturing and responsive space. Every camper gets the chance to swim each day under the watchful eye of our lifeguards and Camp Katan counselors.
