Tour Seattle Early Childhood Education

When you enter the SJCC Seattle Early Childhood Education facility, you are entering an entirely new K'hilah Center at Temple Beth Am in north Seattle. We moved into these new classrooms in fall 2007.

The two-floor school is filled with natural light and natural materials. Tables and chairs are made of wood - not plastic. Each classroom is filled with current projects, photos, books, and explorations. A new outdoor playground play area was dedicated in May 2008.

From the warmly inviting infant room where crawlers explore the world on their tummies to pre-kindergarten classrooms where four year olds are learning to solve problems, interpret information, test theories, and make choices, you will see this is a place where learning comes to life in the most joyful ways.

We believe children are influenced by their surroundings and that beautiful surroundings encourage learning.

We hope these photos give you a glimpse of our Seattle facility, but we hope you will choose to visit us to see us in person. Schedule your tour with ECS Administrative Associate Nicci Burrell at NicciB@sjcc.org

Our facility is fully licensed by the State of Washington to meet strict health and safety guidelines for cleanliness, room size, staff-to-student ratios and staff qualifications. Our program also endorses the guidelines established by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).
