Senior Fitness

The SilverSneakersTM senior fitness program is a customized exercise class for older adults living an active lifestyle. Group exercise classes focus on cardiovascular health, muscle strength, balance, coordination and functional movement.

SilverSneakers™: Muscular Strength and Range of Motion
Mondays and Thursdays, 11 a.m.
Move through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement, and skills required during activities for daily living. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing, and a ball are used for resistance and a chair is used for seated and/or standing support.

SilverSneakers: SilverSplash
Mondays and Thursdays, 11:15 a.m. 
Activate your aqua exercise urge for variety. SilverSplashTM offers lots of fun and shallow water moves to improve agility, flexibility, and cardiovascular endurance. No swimming ability is required. A special SilverSplashTM kickboard is used to develop strength, balance and coordination. 

Tai Chi
Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9:45 a.m.

Tai Chi is a series of movements aimed to address the body and mind as an interconnected system. Mental and physical health benefits include improved posture, balance, flexibility, and strength. 

SilverSneakers: Cardio Circuit
Tuesdays, 11 a.m.
Enjoy a heart healthy, moderately intense aerobic workout with a chair used for seated and/or standing support if needed. Basic steps and rhythmic movements for the upper and lower body are designed to give you a safe and fun workout. Resistance equipment may be used for muscular conditioning.

SilverSneakers YogaStretch
Wednesdays, 11 a.m. 
YogaStretch will move your whole body through a complete series of seated and standing yoga poses. Chair support is offered to safely perform a variety of postures designed to increase flexibility, balance and range of movement. Restorative breathing exercises and a final relaxation will promote stress reduction and mental clarity. 
 

Chair Exercise
Mondays and Thursdays, 10:15 a.m.

Using a chair for stability, gain strength, stamina, and increased flexibility with specialized exercises for senior adults.

Senior Cardio Fitness
Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays 7:15 a.m.
Fridays, 11 a.m.

Have fun moving to music and flexing your muscles. This class will use bands, weights and mats learn how to activate your functional muscles to make your activities for daily living easier and safer.
